HAWKES BAY RAM FAIR.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGHAM.) NAPIBR-, January 29. The annual rami fair was held at Hastings to-day. Heavy rnin fell throughout the day, and although there wae a large attendance, b-dtd'in-g "lacked spirit. The entries number 2421, being an inorcnee of 123 on lasit year's figure*. Of the total 113 were etud and 2oiiß flock rams. Lincoins were the most numerous, witii English Leicesbera n«ic. Flock rains went up_ to five guineas ■each, which was the price paid for .shearling Lancolns bred by Mr W. H. Wybour.tve, WiheDuakura, and aho for some bred by J. D. Hughes, Waverley. Studt* were headed by tire* Lincolns from Mr W. H. Wyboume's stock, which went for 37, 60, and* 20 guineas respectively. A two-jsiear Bard«r Leicester Btud ram, bred by the Hon. J. D.
