A TEST MATCH.

It lias been decided to postpone Senior Cup matches on Saturday, and to play instead a test match between the Canterbury KJeven and the next Thirteen. The gfime will be played at Hagley Park, as the Midland Qlub ara opening their new pavilion. The names of the Thirteen will appear in tomorrow morning's papers.

The Committee of tne Eaet Chrjetc»iurcii School, in r*ply to*a request from toe Uridcet that a half-holiday enould Dβ proclaimed on Friday, 6th February, for the England v' Canterbury match, have replied that they cannot, accede to the request. Work at the school was : only resumed laet Monday, after a vacation of sis weeks, and the Committee are of opinion that the teaches and scholars woo wish to do co can attend the match on Saturday.
