On neaiing the breakwater- the engine, came in contact jwilh an obstruction.*" Fortunately the eiiKinfi 'only jumped and skidded some little distance, "not leaving the rails. An inspection proved that a solid angle of iron had evidently been on. the rails, but it was eventually pushed off the track. Had the train left'the rails considerable damage would probably have be?n done.
