It is officially a-nnounced that the sentence of death passed on ex-Colonel Lynch for treason has been commuted to one of penal servitude for life. (Received January 28th, 9.44 p.m.) LONDON, January 28. Lynch's relatives are crushed by the severity of his sentence.
