The- Hospital Board met yesterday. Mr Dunlop in the cbair. I The House Surgeon reported that during the last month 129 patients were admitted to thp Hospital, 112 were discharged, and 31 died, leaving 100 remaining. Sixty-five operations were pc: forme! under anaesthetics, and 1299 nttendstscs-s were made in the ont-patim department. The Matron repeit.-d that Nuree Pa'mer left nt the end of her training; that Nurses Longmnn, Bcvre. and Sandford had completed their training, and were entitled to their ctn.ificat;.s, hiving passed their final examination* ; Nurses Hexvca, Irvine, num. and Benjamin had pa«;d their second year's examination. Nurse BonJ3min was recommended by tho House Committee to Jill the vacancy occasiored by Nurse Palmer leaving. Probationers Aitken and Joyce, -having completed their probationership, avxT2 recommended to the cursing statf. iho re-port was adopted. The iiO«.se Surgeon wrote reporting that Dr. Uliieb, who had acted as locum tenens for the Assistant House Surgeon, had appointed to the Mount View Asylum. It was vvsolved to advertise for an assistant Hous* Surgeon, who mu?t either till the twelve months or tind an .approved substitute. Tha Special Osmmjf.e« appointed to formulate a scheme for the management of the .bottle. The report as a, whole, as amended, was adopted. The. carrying out of the details in connection with the i«ottle. Lake Hospital was lelegated to the House Committee.
