TAI TAPU
At the monthly meeting there were present—Me«rp K. Macartney (chairman), J. A. Forbes, J. F. Watson, J. Michael. F. Dean, S. Kingon, and H. G. Dow.se. The Inspector's annual report stated that the school had been raised to high rank as on* of the most eflicient in Xorth Canterbury. The folloirinj motion ivas carried unanimously:—"Thisj Committee ha s the greatest pleasure in- reviewing the Inspector's report, inamiucb as the standard of excellence attained in all subjects, and in both departments, proves that the continuous effort* of master and mistress since being in charge have induced the attention and co-operation of the pupils. The Committee hereby t-akes the opportunity of thanking and congratulating tiie teaching sta'f (Mr J. Vnss aad Miss Rutledge) on sud: an excellent report.' . It was resolved to erect new fences between the school gronnd's and the properties of the Church of England; and' Mr C. M. Stickling; also to forward a vote.of thanks to Mesdanus Penman, Brake, and Kingan for judging
