AQUATICS.
On Saturday the semi-final and final ot tie Canterbury Rowing Club's Trial Double Sculls were rowed, and resulted ac follows:—Bowling and D. Barker beat Malthus and Mannings, and in the final wers defeated by Harper and Wallace, after a flns> race.
On Thursday next a challenge crew, coneusting of H«r*ley, Johnston, Colin Taylor and R. J. Hobbs, will row C. H. Hobbs, Appleby, G. J. Robertson and Van Asch, to decide who will represent the Cantorbury Rowing dab in th« Maiden Fours at the Cfarktciiurch regatta, and on the following Saturday the winners wiii row oS with E. R- Guthrie, LittJ*. Milsom, and Hawkins, the Glub'e Youth*' Crew, to decide who wiH represent the Club at the championship regatta on 19th Februaiyj at Wangantu.
