(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) BLENHEIM, January 24. The weather was fine for the cricket match, to-day, and the attendance was good. The Englishmen won by nine wickets. TUe first innings of the Marlborough men resulted in a total of 59—Clifford, 10,, being the only double figure. The bowling was done by Thompson, who, on a drying wicket, proved practically unplayable. Marlborough followed on, and made 162, th* double scores being—Bottrell 17. Lusk 17, Watty 20, Neal 12. Fane was bowled by Greenfield after making 9, and Thompson and Warner knocked up the rest. The niatcu concluded at five o'clock, and the Englishmen filled in the remainder of tin? time with an exhibition game, in which 99 nine were made in an hour—Taylor not out 45, Johnson not out 19, Leatbam 12. The visitors leave in the morning for Nekon overland.
