(Received January 22nd, 10.6 p.m.) SYDNEY, January 22. At the Homebush ealee prices were firm. Crossbred wethers, beet, 16e; extra.* 19a 6d; good, 14s to 159: medium, 11s; ewes, best, 15*; extra, 17s 3d; good, 14e; medium, 10s 6d. Cattle were in improved supply. Prime were firm, and inferior were cheaper: Best bullocks, £13 15s; extra, £15; good, £11 10s; medium, £8. Best cows, £10; extra,, £11; good, £7 15s; medium, £6 10e. Beet beef, 37s 6d per 1001b.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Limited, have received the following cable message from their London office, under date January 21st:—"Since our last telegram prices of tallow are unchanged." The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company have received , the following cable message from London, dated January 20th:—" Wood.—The sales opened at about par to 5 per cent, higher for line greasy crossbred and merino, and 7£ per cent."to 10 per cent, for medium and coarse greasy crossbred and crossbred elipe The market is active."
(PBHSS ASSOCIATION TBIJSOKAM.) NAPIER, January 22. The Colonial Consignment «ai Distributing Company, Limited, received th* following cable message from London today:—"Frozen meat market — To-day'a quotations are: Canterbury mutton Hd per lb; Napier, Wellington and North, Island mutton 4|d per lb. Lamb—First quality 6£d per lb, quality 6d per lb."
