NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION.
ANNUAL TOURNAMENT,
THIRD DAY.
President. Mr V. Jacques; secretary, Mr G. I L. Stewart; -treasurer, Mr T. Moooy. The tournament was lesumed yesterday morning, at 10.30 o'clock, when the weather was beautifully fine. The Christchurch green was in splendid order, and same splendid shots were made. Witthe exception of the Consolation Rinks, and the remainder of the Double*, singles were the order of the day on both rinks. Though the play was fairly good all round there were two games which stood out conspicuously as being about the best fought on the "Christchurch green. In one of these, Sneddon v Bell, Bell scored ten points before Sneddon troubled the scorer's chalk. Sneddon, by excellent play, managed to carry the score to 11 for "himself at the last nead to his opponent's 10, Bell having failed to score after making 10. In the last head Sneddon got in two when Bell, with a good shot, took the jack into the ditch and followed it. Sneddon tried to draw up to the jack on the edge of the ditch, but failed to get aear enough, and Bell got in the second shot, the game thus standing Bell 12, Sneddon 11. The other game wae between Bishop and Reid. where they were level, twelve all, at the last head, "having played a ding-dong game all through. Reid. however, by excellent play, managed to score one at the last end. the game finishing Reid 13, Bishop 12.
