Sir, —May I be allowed to thank you for your Sub-Leader in to-day'e issue, re Trades and Labour Council and Tramway Board, especially the purchase ,of the plant of ttio present tramway companies and hours of labour. Referring to the candidates' replies, 1 notice Mr Jamieson, of Linwood, is prepared to swallow the Trades' and Labour eatecniism holus bolus, even to the extent of paying six days' wages for five and a half days' work, and having everything done by day labour. Can you kindly say if this Mr Jamieson is the same gentleman as Mr Councillor Jamieson, of the Linwood Borough Council, who was euch a strong advocate for handing the tramways over to Mr Hansen's (the British Electrical Company).
