A meeting of the Committee of tb* Canterbury Cricket Association was ! held on Monday evening. Present—Messrs RapJiae) (in the chair), Caygill, Jameson, Reese, and Williams. It was lesolved to start play in the. match Canterbury v Lord Hawked team at two o'clock on Friday, February &th. It was reported that Sir Joseph Ward had granted excursion lares for the match. On via motion of Mr Raphael, it was resolved that the. secretary write Sir Joseph Ward thanking him forth? liberal manner in which th<; cricketers had been treated. -Ur Reese reported that- the date of the builders' picnic had been altered on account of Loid Hawke's team. The following w<tre fixed as the charges for admis«ion : —Ore shilling to ground, sixpence to .■ttand; children half-price at gates. The ■jiwstion of engaging a band for the match was deferred till n«xt meeting.
