The Rakaia Amateur Swimming Club's eports meeting last Thursday -woe a very euccessful gathering, bedng favoured with beautiful weather. The principal event wee the 50yds Championship of Canterbury, which was won by C. Bullivant {East Chriatchuroh), with A. B. Truscott (Kichmond) second, and V- Drake (East Ohr.-et-church) third. Time, 31 l-sth sec. C. Bryant (Rakaia), 9sec, won the 75yds Ladies' Bracelet Inter-Club Handicap in 57 eec, 0. Ansley (East Christchurch), 2sec, being eeoond. L. A. fcnand (Eaefc Chrietchurch), won the Inter-Club Obstacle Kaoe, and H. Sherwood the InterClub Neatest Header Competition.
