COALGATE.
The. monthly s-ale was held , at Coalga-te en Friday, when 6620 sheep and lambs were yarded, the bulk being stores. The fate numbered about 1500, the major portion of which were lambs, most of which were well finished sorts. The stores consisted principally of crossbred wethers, and ewes v ith lambs of about equal proportfons. The wel'hers were nearly all good straight lines of graziers' sheep, "but the ewes and lambs, witih one or two exceptions, were an inferior lot. Prices were as follows: — Light weight freezing wethers 17s 6d to 18s, mixed sexes 16s 6d to 17s 3d, maiden ewes 15s 7d, fat lambs (prime) 14s 4d to 15s 4d, light and unfinished sorts 12s 3d to 14s, fat crossbred ewes 13s 5d to 14s sd. inferior ditto 10s 3d to 11s, fat merino ewes 5s lid to 11*, two-tooth crossbred wethers 15s to 13s 6d, four-tooth ditto 14s 9d, two-tooth hnlfbred wethers 11s 10d to 14« 9d, four-tooth ditto 14« 3d, rape 10s Id to 12s 4d, store ditto 6s ocl, fourtooth crossbred ewes 13e 6d to 14s', crossbred ewes and lambs 11s 4d for b«st, and 5s 6d to 7s 6d tor inferior (all counted), meirino ewes and lambs 6s to 7a 6d, a line in the wool 8s lid (all counted). The most noticeable sales were:—For Mr J. Beatty, 35 fat lambs 15s 4d; Mr Ambrose Beatty. 108 at 15s 3d; Messrs Davis and Steele. 62 at 15u 3d; Nelson's trustees, 28 at 14a 4d'; Mr Prestidge, 56 at 14s sd; Mr K. Wilson, 60 at 14s 4d; Mr W. Oliver, 68 at 14s 2d; Mr J. N. Hartnell, 164 at 14s: Mr Pickering, 63 at 14»; Mr F. Holland, 68 at 14s; Mr R. T. Pinckney, 218 twotooth halfbred wethers 13s 9d, 430 fourtooth ditto 14s 3d, and 300 two-tooth crossbred wetbera 13s 6d.
