MRS J. R. WEBB.
Airs J. E. W< bb, who had been seriously ill for some tim«, died on Saturday in the sixty-second year of her age. She was born at King's Lynn, Norfolk, and came to Lyttelton with her parents and sifter in the Royal Stewart in 1862- Her parents settled on the Ferry road, and , ehe subsequently married Mr J- R. Webb. tsne eaveefour sons and two daughters. The deceased lady was a eister of Captain Ahitby, J.P., of Lyttelton, of Mr Walter Fames ' Whitby, of Linwood, of Mrs Leete, of Birmingham, England, of Mra Veninw>re, -.if Harelock, Marlborougb, and of Miss Whitby, of Lyt&elton. Soe was an* ardent supporter of tlw> 3&thodi?t Church, and of ;he tempeninoe cause, and -was especially fond of instructing young children, num-ek-i* of whom *he would gather round her Douse. Her fuineral takes place to-morrow afternoon, *
