Mrs John Holmes and Miss Holmes left for England yesterday. Recent callers at the local office of the Tourist Department were:—Mr T. W. Rowe (Wellington) and Mr D. R. Edwards (Melbourne). H. for some yeaxs accountant at the Kaiapoi Woollen Mills, who has been on a visit to England, accompanied by his wife, proposes to take up mission work in Mexico. Mr Walter Broadley, engineer and electrician at the Kaiapoi Woollen Mills, is leaving for England. Mr David Go!die. ex-Mayor of Auckland, was a passenger by the express last night, leaving for t4te North by steamer. Mr Newiug (Wellington), Mr and Mrs R«nnie, Mr Taylor, Mr Crossman, and Mr Dyer (Melbourne), arrived by the express lak night. Visitors to town include:—Dr. W. W.
