A question to be brought before tibe next meeting of tilie Federal Cabinet will have reference to the method of paying the rebate on sugar allowed to growers with white labour. Practically New South Wales and Queensland pay the whole excise, and as the rebate is paid out of it, these two States are paying the cost of a White Australia as far as sugar is concerned. The Queensland Premier urges that all the sugarconsumers of the Commonwealth should pay.
