WOOLSTON.
The adjourned meeting of the Woolston Council was held on Tuesday. Present —The Mayor, Crs. Hobson, Spreadbury, Rennie and Owen. The Mayor advised that the bath.site had been paid for. It was decided to add the name of Air Binney, miister of Woolston School Committee, to those authorised to collect subscriptions, and old boys and girls are requested to communicate with him. Tenders for the construction of swimming bath were opened, and that of Mr H. J. Otley (£366), for a bath 75 x 35, was accepted. Cr. Rennie was authorised to arrange for sinking two artesian wells to th. first strata. The clerk was authorised to order the necessary pipes for connection with the Ferry road drain.
