At the Burnside Market 134 head of fat cattle were yarded, the greater proportion being medium weights- For prime quality thare was a good demand, but at prices hardly equa. to last week. For , other classes there was a reduction of 15s per head; Best bullocks made fiom £10 10s to £11 lCs, medium £9 7s 6d to £10 7s 6d, others £7 15s to £9, best cows £7 10s to £8 15s, heavy £9 7s 6d, medium £6 5s to £7 ss, others £4 10s to £5 15s.
Fat Sheep—22l6 penned, the buik being medium withers and old ewes. No export buyers were operating. Really prime wethers realised within Iβ of last week's, but others suffered a decline of Is 6d to 2s 6d per head. The market, however, was steady- Prime wetheis 17s to 19.*, medium 15s 6d to 17s, light and inferior 13s to 14s, heavy ewes 16s 6d to 18s 6cl, medium 12s 6d to 14s, light 10s to 12s 3d. Lambs—924 penned. Export buyers took about half, and prices were kept at last week's rates. Best sold from 12« 6d to 14s 3d, medium 10s to 12s, others 7s 6d to 9».
Pigs—l3s yarded Bidding was brisk, and prioes exceedingly 'high. No suckers were offered. Sups brought 18s to 21s, stores 23s to 295, porkers 32s to 445, baconers 50s to 76s 6d, choppers up to 80s-
