The nominations of candidates for the Christchurch Dis'.rict Tramwatt Board closed yesterday afiernoon with the Returning Officer,"Mr J. Whitelaw. There will be ooirt<«ts for all the seats. For the Ohristchurch, Sydenham, and St. Albaitts Bub-disrtrict (four member*) sixteen person* nave W*n nominated ; for the Linwood sub-district (one member), two peraora have been nominated ; for the Woolston, Sumner, and Heaihcote cub-district (ono member), two nominations have received; for the New Brighton and Avon Road District sub-divieion (one member), threo nomination* have oeen received ; and for the Riccarton, Spreydon, and Halswell eub-dirtricti (one member), three nominatzons have been received.
