CHRISTCHUnCH REGATTA CLUB. A mot-ting of the Executive of the Chnstclnurh Regatta Club wa.s held at tha Canterbury Rowing Club's boathouse law. evening. "Present—Messrs J. R. Evans (in the chaii), W. G. Atack, F. 1). Kesteven, F I. Cowlishaw, A. L. Smith, R. F. Croabis, D. Lee, J. R. Morrison, N. L. Macbeth, D. I). Mahoney, and F. E. Asquith. A letter was received from the Christchurch Drainage Board, stating that the request of the Regatta Club Executive to have the river under the .south span of the Staumore bridge deepened had been attended to. The Union Rowing Club wrote, suggesting that the subscription to the Regatta Club should be reduced from one shilling to sixpence. The matter was held over for the present. Tho Canterbury OenCr-e of the New Zealand Swimming Association wrote, stating that it would take charge of the swimming race at the regatta, the race to be open to all swimming men. The Chiistchurch recutta was fixed for Thursday, February ~l2th, at Stewarts Gully. A sub-committee reported that the coures and the road to the Gully were in good order. The following programme was passed for the regatta:—Maiden Fours, £12; Youths Double Sculls, £2; Senior Fours, £18: Junior Fours, £14; Maiden Double Sculls, £8; Youths' Fours, £12; Junior Doubie Sculls, £8; Senior Pairs, £6; Senior Double Sculls, £6. AH senior races .and Junior Fours will be about one mile and a half, all other raoee one. anile. Messrs Kenteven and Macbeth were appointed to interview the Traffic Manager with iespect to train arrangement for the regatta. Entries will close for all events on February sth, at noon.
