When standing on the scaffold he said, "Before God, I solemnly declare I am innocent of the crime for which I have been condemned. Kenniff was buried at the South Brisbane Cttfnetery. Four hundred persons, including his father and brothers, attended the funeral. A hirge ninnber of wreaths were sent by sympathisers.
