SOUTHBRIDGE TOWN BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Soathbridge Town Board was held oa Friday evening. T. J. Withers (ohainnan), Messrs Andrew, Ndxon. Morrison, Woods, Rowe, and Twiss. The Department of Labour wrote asking to be notified of the day appointed in the district for the iKutholiday. E. W. Stevenson tusked for a refund of half the amount paid for hire of hall for entortainmait-. The Board declined the reqneat. It was decided to hold the haif-holiday each Wednesday, as hitherto. Messrs Thornton and Smith, on behalf of the School Comvi-fittee, waited on the Board with regard.,to a cooking stove being erected in the Town Hall property for the use of the technical education cla-wea of the publio school, the stove to then become the property of the Board. It was decided that a committee be appointed to meet with the School Committee, and report to the Board. The fee for abtep and cattle dog- was fixed at 2s 6d, sporting and other dogs 10s. Accounts amounting to £15 6s were passed .for .payment, and the meeting adjourned.
