The Matron of the Chrifitch_rch Hospital acknowledges with thanks the receipt of comic papsra from Mrs Grantham; fourteen copies of the "Girls' Realm" from the Misses Dora and Beatrice Wood; and a case of strawberries from Mr J. Hunt, Waimate.
It is notified elsewhere that proceedings will be taken against drivers of hackney carriages, borough stage carriages, and carriers who have not taken out their licenses for the present year I»y the 13th inst. The in-sta-Wkm of Bro. Acton-Adams as W.M. of the A-O-berley Lodlge, and the investiture of his officers, takes pCace to-night.
