HOKXTIKA, January 9.
The Premier returned from Ross this evening. At Rimu he was interviewed Dy the Miners'- Association. He said the whole of the present prospecting regulations will require to be recast. In place of a mere pittance, a living wage will be paid. This evening the Westland County Council is entertaining the Premier at a social.
AUCKLAND, January 9. Sir Joseph Ward received various deputations this morning, and left for Onehunga en route to Wellington this afternoon, accompanied by his wife and family.
