A,match at Sydenham Park on Saturday between the Linwood Club and the Rivals Club resulted in a win for Linwood by only 1 run. The scores were: —L'inwood 48 (EE. Fleming 11) and 34, Rivals .26 (F. Thiele 10) .-fend. -55 (D\ ;Petrie 12 and A. Wilson, jun., 11). Thompson, Lock and Fleming bowled well for Linwocd, while H. Petrie, Minifie, and C&ipp did best f6f Rivals. A match between the Albion CO. and Methodist O.G. resulted"-in & win for the Albion Club by an innings and 50 runs (Trelctar 39, Gray 22, Watkiris 14 (not out), S. 12ir, For the Methodists Bowden and \Veirbatted best. S. Westdn and Treloai-, iur the vTiiriiera, Syke3 and Hamilton for the losers, bowled best.
