SENIOR CUP.

The two Senior Cup matches advanced another stage at Lancaster Park on Saturday, when the weather was splendid —though rather cold as the afternoon wore on—and both wickets were in good order for run getting. The Lancastrians shaped badly with the bat, most of the cracks failing to come off, and the U.C.C. now have all the best of the game. In the other match the first of the Sydenham batsmen shaped so well that 130 were on the board before the fifth wicket fell. The others, however, failed to keep up the run getting, and tie Midlanders now have, a substantial lead. There was a much larger attendance than on the first day, the sum of £3 17s being taken at the gate. The Misses Raphael dispensed afternoon tea.
