TROTTING ASSOCIATION.

A meetiue of the Canterbury Metropolitan Trotting Association was held an the City Hotel last evening. Present—Mr C. Hood Williams (in the chair), Messrs A. Duncan, W. Tonks and V. Harris. Mr Williams explained that he had received the sol*citor's opinion re his removal as a delegate. It confirmed the action of the Lancaster Park Amateur Trotting Club. Mr Williams then withdrew. It was resolved that Mr A. Duncan should take the chair. The following letters were read and their consideration was deferred until next meeting :—From the Otahuhu Trotting Club, Grevmouth Trotting Club, Stratford Trotting* Club, and Mr W. T. Turner. The meeting then adjourned.

St. Hippo was scratched at 3 p.m. yesterday tor all en_agemonts at tbe C. J.C. Spring Meeting.
