THE DEAN CASE.
surrender of the missing man-
ANOTHER CONFESSION BY DEAN.
Pr_a A__oc_atio_—Bv Telezraph—Copyright. Sydney, October 15. Green, the fourth, man wanted in the Dean ca3e, has surrendered himself. He went to the house of Mr Hill, a solicitor, early this morning, and on his advice accompanied him to the police station. He was remanded to Thursday on a charge of conspiring to defeat the ends of ju?*ice. He was also remanded on a similar charge in another case. He had not been out of town since the warrant wa3 issued, having hidden himself in a house in the heart of the city. He told Mr Hill he wanted the whole of the fact, brought out in order to clear his character. He had never been in Crick's or Meagher's employ. All he had to do with the secret of Dean's guilt was on the day when Meagher was going off to town he said he had told Sir Julian Salomons about it, and the latter seemed inclined to bring the whole thing out. Meagher asked Green to go and see Dean, and toll him to look out and see the chemist. He took a note from Dean to Smith, also a verbal message asking the chemist to shut up about the poison. That was the first and all he knew about the matter. It is understood that Dean has communicated with the authorities with a view of making another and fuller confession. Green failed to obtain the bail demanded, viz., £3000.
