Manawahe
Mrs Goldsmith presided over a small attendance of members at the December meeting of the Manawahe Women’s Institute.
This was the first meeting held in our new room. Mrs Goldsmith thanked all members for their help and co-operation in making it possible to build such a room.
Arrangements were finalised for the Christmas tree for the children of the district. Afternoon tea was served by Mrs G. Logan and Mrs J. Logan. Competition results were: —Best flower, Mrs D. Jones 1, Mrs Goldsmith' 2; best shrub, Mrs Mikklesen 1, Mrs King and Mrs Appleby equal 2; best vegetable, Mrs Morice 1, Mrs King 2.
