Holiday Service At Whakatane Post Office
' Holiday services at Whakatane Post Office have been decided. On the Fridays, December 22 and 29 there will be the usual attendance at the Post Office including the normal Friday evening attendance. On the Saturdays, December 23 and 30, the usual Saturday morning hours of attendance (9 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.) will be observed, and deliveries will be made by postmen and rural carriers. Mails for despatch will close as is usual on Saturday. Closed holidays will be observed on Monday and Tuesday, December 25 and 26 and January 1 and 2. There will be no deliveries by postmen or rural carriers on these days. The money order and savings bank branch of the post office will have the usual attendance, including the normal Friday evening attendance on the Fridays, December 22 and 29. The telephone exchange will be open continuously.
