Tricky Wind Upsets Shoot At Taneatua
There was a tricky wind which gradually became worse, during a practice shoot held at the Taneatua Defence Rifle Club on Saturday. The scores on 500 and 600 yards were:— R. Campbell 33 32 65; J. Prince 30 34 64; J. Eggleton 34 30 64; T. Barr 29 35 64; A. Prince 35 27 62;. A. Tebbutt 28 33 61; L. Earp 26 26 52; J. Butler 30 21 51. The next shoot will be for the Middlemas Rose Bowl, shot on 500 and 600 yard ranges. ; Mr A. F. McGougan has presented the Taneatua Club with a fine cup for annual competition.
