Annual Meeting Of Winter Show Association

At the annual general meeting of the Bay of Plenty Winter Show Association there was a fair attendance. The president, Mr H. G. Warren presided and the following executive ’was elected with power to add:—

Patron, Hon. W. Sullivan, M.P.; president, Mr F. M. Abbott; vicepresident, Mr C. R. Whittle; committee, Messrs L. R. Spring, G. Otley, C. Hudson, J. N. Patterson, H. G. Warren, E. Cleaver, B. A. Greenslade, C. E. Thatcher; secretary, Mr R. Cobbe.

A tribute was paid to Messrs W. G. Hawat, A. Hall, C. G. Caisley and A. Burgess who had given time, money and work to build the firm foundation on which the show stands.

Special mention was made of the work of the retiring president, Mr Warren. Mr Warren detailed the progress of the show hall sale negotiations and matters relative to the future position. Mr Abbott the new president, put forward some’ entirely new suggestions to overcome the space difficulties.
