Whakatane Mayor Belonged To Brigade

Whakatane Mayor S. S. Shapley as a one-time member of the Boys’ Brigade. At the 25th break-up of the Whakatane brigade on Thursday, he produced his medal and discharge certificate, issued to him in Exeter, in the rank of corporal in 1903.
