HARBOUR BOARD BOUNDARIES DISCUSSED

SUGGESTED THEY COINCIDE WITH COUNTY RIDINGS

The belief that harbour district boundaries should be altered to coincide as far as possible with those of County ridings was expressed at a meeting of the Whakatane Harbour Board on Friday.

This would mean easier administration and direct Maori representation, it was said. There would be one more member than at present. The Board will discuss the proposal at a later meeting.
