W.D.F.F. At Awakeri Holds Final Meeting
The final meeting of the Awakeri W.D.F.F. for 1950 was held on November 21. Small children of the members present enjoyed ice creams and balloons and a Christmas treat.
A wall competition prepared by Mrs Fabish was popular. Members joined in a community sing led by Mrs N. Carter, with Mrs C. Wilson at the piano. Winners of competitions were:— Flowers: Mrs C. McKenzie 1, Mrs J. Graham 2, Mrs L. Carter 3; fruit, Mrs Arroll 1, Mrs C. Wilson 2, Mrs McKenzie 3; vegetable, Mrs Carter 1, Mrs Brizzle 2, Mrs Arroll 3; rag doll, Mrs B. Philcox.
