Capacity Yarding At Te Teko

The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., report a capacity yarding of pigs of all classes at their fortnightly sale held at Te Teko on Monday. Values eased slightly on slips and weaners whilst porkers and baconers maintained recent high quotations. In the cattle section, values again were buoyant especially on paddock cows and the cull offering sold on a firm market. Finished cows were in short supply but the butchers types offering met a ready market. Prices realised were as under:—* Fat cqws, £l2 10s to £l4 15s; paddock cows, £7 to £9 15s; boners, £6 to £8 17s 6d. Pigs: Bacon, £5 10s to £7 ss; stores £3 10s to £5 9s; weaners, £2 to £2 10s; slips, £3 to £4.
