CALF CONTEST, WORK DISPLAY AT EDGECUMBE
About 30 calves were entered at the Edgecumbe Calf Club contest, and the judges remarked that they were well above average both in type and condition, and reflected care and attention given them by the children. Lambs also were of high quality. Indoor, a fine display of home crafts including sewing, cookery, vegetables and floral art was shown. This section showed worthy efforts from every child in the school. The principal calf events were won by Dale Carter, Pedigree, and Brian Orr, Grade.
