LADIES’ GOLF CHAMPIONS DECIDED
Senior and intermediate champions of the Whakatane Ladies’ Golf Club were decided yesterday. They are Mrs Symmans and Mrs Rawson. Playing a 36-hole final, Mrs Symmans beat Mrs J. Thomas one up. In the intermediate final of 27 holes, Mrs Rawson beat Miss M. Baxter 7 and 6. Mrs Francis beat Miss Lane 7 and 6 in the final of the intermediate flight. Junior championship finalists are Miss Moore and Mrs O’Brien. The final will /be played tomorrow.
