Jerseys Maintain Value At Taneatua
Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. Ltd had a full yarding of good store and fat Jersey cows at their recent monthly stock sale held at Taneatua when values showed no sign of deteriorating on the previous sale.
Competition was exceptionally strong for fat Jersey cows and finished cattle made up to £lB 10s. Quotations were: —
Cattle: Heavy fat Jersey cows, £l7 2s 6d to £lB 10s; medium, £ls Is to £l6 ss; light, £lO 10s to £l4 10s; good store Jersey cows, £8 5s to £9 19s; medium £7 to £8; boner, £6 to £6 17s 6d.
Sheep: Fat woolly S.D. hoggets, £3 13s.
