DIFFERENT?

Sir, —Ratepayers must be very pleased to find a strong field of candidates standing for the Mayor- ' alty and for the Council. The first group of candidates announced in your columns looked so much like a Mutual Admiration Society that it had quite a few people worried. Now that the full list has been published, it is evident that residents will now have an opportunity to elect a Council which will be refreshingly different. Yours etc., CHANGE OVER. Whakatane, October 30, 1950.
