Delegates Elected By Taneatua W.I.
Delegates to the bi-annual conference of Women’s Institutes were elected at the recent meeting of the Taneatua Women’s Institute, these being Mrs G. Bennett and Mrs E, Frost. Members listened with interest to a talk by the District Health Nurse, Nurse Dunsmore, her subject being the value of vitamins in maintaining health. Entertainment took the form of a wall competition arranged by Mrs Hayward and charades by members. Competitions: Flower, Mrs Lawn 1, Mrs Bennett 2, Mrs K. Tebbutt 3; shrub, Mrs Ricketts 1, Mrs E. Hill 2, Miss Rae 3; vegetable, Mrs R. McGougan 1, Mrs Torrie 2, Mrs Ricketts 3; crotchet mat, Mrs Norman 1, Mrs Torrie 2, Mrs Grey 3; marmalade, Mrs Bennett 1, Miss Hills 2, Mrs Anderson 3.
