Women’s Division Meets At Te Teko

Te Teko Women’s Division of Federated Farmers held an interesting meeting. A further panel of three members carried on the roll call on Child Psychology. Mrs Burr on preparing the child for school, Mrs Hallett on how to treat a bully and untruthful child* Mrs S. Cannell on adolescence.

Mrs Jacques, the guest speaker, chose for her subject, How to prepare blooms for show. Birthday flowers were presented to Mrs Linsell by Mrs Jacques, Mrs Pryor receiving a card. Arrangements were made for the provincial meeting to be held in Awakeri Hall on Wednesday, November 1. Winner of the mystery parcel was Mrs Jacques. Best bloom, Mrs T. Watson 1, Mrs Harty 2; vegetable, Mrs Hallett 1, Mrs Harty 2; fruit, Mrs Hallett 1, Mrs Harty 2. Baby Jamieson received a Post Office savings bank from members. Afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Balfour, Watson and Nation.
