No Indication About Railway Line
No indication of when the Pae-roa-Pokena railway link could be completed was contained in a. letter from the Minister of Railways (Mr Goosmarf) considered at a meeting of the Bay of Plenty subprovincial executive of Federated Farmers (Auckland Province) on Tuesday. The Minister stated that owing to lack of funds and the present difficult manpower situation he was unable to give any advice as to when the project would be completed. i Although the question was not discussed it was decided to consider it at the next executive meeting.
