Finding A Name For A Street
The finding of a name for the old County road was discussed when, at a meeting of the Whakatane Borough Council on Monday night, Cr K. A. Needham said residents could not get mail service there because of the lack of a name. Members favoured a Maori name. Cr H. G. Warren suggested a link with the Sexcentennial. The matter was left to the finance committee for decision.
