Picnic Rally For Edgecumbe Riders
A picnic rally will be held it Mrs C. J. Carter’s farm in Edgecumbe on Sunday to celebrate the opening of the Whakatane District Pony Club branch there. Members from Whakatane, White Pine, ThorntonMatata and Te Teko will join forces. This will also mark the official ■opening of the Whakatane Branch for this season. 1 The Edgecumbe committee elected are: Chairman, Mr Goldsmith, secretary, Mrs C. J. Carter; committee, Mesdames R. Orr, Rees, S. Orr, Messrs S. Orr, H. Marks, J. Carter and R. Orr; delegates to club committee, Mrs Carter and Mrs Orr. Galatea unfortunately are unable to ' bring their members down owing to the fact that they had previously arranged a rally in their Own district with Mr Blomfield, head instructor, from the Whakatane branch. They will join in a big combined rally to be held early an November. This rally is an inter-club one for the Club Points Cup, the “Rally Cup” at present held by White Pine.
