Pearson Does Well With His Iron Clubs
A rather remarkable performance has been accomplished by Harold Pearson in Whakatane golf this season, his first in competitive play. Pearson played to the finals of the intermediate championship without using a wood. Normally, he drives with a Number three iron, which was broken when he tackled L. W. Luxton in the final on Sunday. His loss of the match is attributed largely to the fact that he was- trying to force shots with a Number five.
