CORNERS OF KING STREET CRITICISED
Corners which it considers dangerous—those at each end of King Street—came in for further discussion at a meeting of the executive of the Whakatane Chamber of Commerce last week. It was decided that bus drivers could not negotiate the corner at the Bridge Street end without going on to the wrong side of the road.
It was decided to draw -.the attention of the Borough Council to the matter again with the object that the Main Highways Board should be asked to make improvements.
