The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile ,Agency Co. Ltd. report having held a most successful sale at Galatea on September 26. Fat Jersey cattle were particularly in demand and prices for this class of stock reached exceptional figures. Quotations: — Fat Jersey cows, £lO to £l9 ss; heavy boners, £7 to £9 15s; cull cows, £4 5s to £6 15s; P.A. and Hereford cows, £2O 10s; yearling Jersey heifers, £lO.
