Club Shooting Record Equalled By Legion Marksman

B. Grant shot 97.5 to equal the club record at the Legion Miniature Rifle Club shoot held in the Winter Show Buildings on Tuesday. No challenge shoots were held, but a challenge has been received by the Beacon, holders of the Tyssen Inter-house Trophy, from a strong B.S.L. team, and will be faced at the ne&t shoot in two week’s time. Individual scores for the shooting were:—

Goile 76, S. Stubbs 74, F. T. Mayo 71, B. Henderson 70, D. Dufty 65, D. Furze 59, S. Webster 58, J. Butler 57, Mrs J. Bradshaw 54, D. McCarthy 51, S. Hope 46, J. Parks 38. Juniors (shooting with rest, possible 50): J. Syme 44, B. Whittaker 42, L. J. Attwood 41, G. Bell 41, N. Reid 40, P. Needham 39, T. Reid 38, R. Spong 36. The junior pennant was won by J. Syme and on handicap W. Tyssen won the senior silver teaspoon trophy.
